Today I'd like to talk about fashion's hottest fall trend. I'm crazy about this one guys, and I fell in love with it just as it was becoming the next best thing. "Velvet"

Velvet tops, velvet dresses, velvet shoes, velvet pants, velvet slip tops, for layering velvet shoe laces, velvet jackets, and all these things Velveteen. These similar materials have exploded in a plethora of colours and varieties.

We have all the different types of velvet to choose from as well. I've put together a demonstration of the types, although not too much variety in colour, from my own closet. Kick back, and maybe even take some notes if you wish. Guys this hasn't exploded in men's fashion yet, but you can beat everyone else to the trend, at better prices too then you will get once it spreads itself to men's formal wear.

Starting with this floor length, black tie formal dress, I'd like to introduce you to "stretch velvet" It's comfortable and slinky, warm and fitted for the colder months.

This retro look is also slipping back into style with " The Slip Dress."

Velvet ribbon makes for great accessories like chokers or bracelets, or even to spice up your favourite pair of shoes

"Velveteen, Velour, and velvet, are all included in what I'm talking about today. The things that differentiate these three cloths are their density and the way they are created. Velour is knit, and just as dense as velvet. Stretch velvet, is velour. Velveteen is woven, and a bit more sheen than its two siblings. Velvet is also woven, but it doesn't drape as well as Velveteen or velour. It tends to be more stiff."

This velour, eighties, bubble skirted, dress is a great Gothic style fashion item for formality, or everyday. It's a bit heavier than cotton or polyester, but I don't mind even on summer days. The days are quickly growing shorter anyway, and the long nights colder. This may just be the item to push you into the whimsical winter months.

Unfortunately no crush velvet graces my collection at this time, but although it may not be as comfortable as Velveteen, it looks extravagant.

If you're interested in trying out this clothing style/2017-2018 fall trend, then you have quite a few options for where you can shop for your own personal style and statement. Rue 21 has a very large selection of leggings, shoes, and shirts of this fabric, but the prices can be a bit steep. Forever 21 is my preferred shopping area for never used fashion items. As This store is reasonably priced, and all the goods are high in fashion. Second hand stores, or thrift stores can also be a good bet as there always seems to be at least one, anti main stream item, that goes with your velvet theme. Hot topic is always a great place to find all the trendiest, but also sometimes the expensive-est clothes and accessories. Target carries some velour items as well, especially a good selection of shoes. Walmart, does carry a very small, very mass produced items, but they are always affordable if that's your only option, than it is a decent one.

I think that's all the Intel. I have to share on this hot fall trend. I'll try to get a fun new post out soon, with an exciting announcement! Make sure to stay tuned.
