How to choose the best glasses for you. (glasses shape)
Today I'm really excited to be posting, partially because I just bought some great new shoes at a bargain price, and also because it has been so long since I last posted.
As you could tell by the title, this is meant to help anyone out who may be struggling with knowing what types or styles of glasses will look best on them, or are the most fashionable. First off, if they look the best on you, and they describe you just by looking at them, then they are the most fashionable choice you could have made regardless of what style is the most bought.
I'd like to start with this chart I found and work my way out to more specific details and clarifying some generalizations or assumptions that are incorrect about choosing glasses.
... So obviously this would not be the ideal chart for finding your optimal glasses. One main reason is that all the styles of glasses shown are the same size. The glasses you choose will have a great deal to do with what size you want. If you want to enlarge your eyes, or accentuate them from the rest of your face, slightly over-sized glasses, or thicker framed glasses will do the job perfectly.
Another key to buying perfect glasses, is to think about what type of person you are or would like to reflect. In the image above, we see an intelligent quirky young woman full of youth, and her own personality. She looks self sufficient, but also caring and sensitive. All of this description was taken from her glasses. However on someone else, this very same pair of glasses could say something completely different about their personality.
The thick frames and size still portray the sensitive and intellectual side. On the other hand the differed size and shape of his head, make the glasses speak of him, and artful side, making him seem very creative and mature, while keeping a youthful heir.
Other glasses that show a more creative or artistic side are round framed glasses, no matter what shape of head you have.
If you have a longer and more square shaped face as suggested in the chart toward the top of this post, round glasses could attempt to make your face look too large or awkwardly angular is contrast to the small round lenses. To avoid this effect try larger lenses placed farther apart.
Generally I've found that round, or even completely circular glasses look great on most face shapes if you get the right size and frame thickness, and they are currently very trendy.
The Two other main styles of glasses are narrow square glasses, and square thick frame top with round clear frame bottoms. The thick framed narrow glasses are the kind that I have. My first choice would be to have a wide variety, but I am happy with them. I'm sorry I don't have a picture for you, but my camera's on the fritz. Generally this type of glasses looks great though.
They nicely pronounce chiseled cheekbones, and communicate someone very intelligent for their age, like an engineer or mathematician. They also tell us that the person wearing them isn't too self obsessed, and perhaps wears the glasses only when they are deep inside a task.
The final shape of glasses seems to be a little more uncommon, but they are just as good as all the other.
Glasses like this are often used by people who are chill, but ready for fun. In the picture above Mr. Dean has a square shaped face, (as he usually does) and this shape of glasses looks on point. Alas I think people with very attractive or chins that are very prominent should look for a pair of glasses like these.
Overall the best advice I can give you about finding the best pair of glasses, is to try them on! Try on several pairs of glasses. You can almost never try on too many before you make you're choice. don't believe people if they say you're being obsessive. These new glasses of yours will be even more prominent than your own face! Think of it like this, you are having plastic surgery done on your face, weigh your options to make the best choice.
Next time I'll tell you about frame thickness and colours for your hair style and colour. Thanks folks for bearing with me. I'll be back in a couple days. These tips should also help you pick out some great sunglasses.
"Peace!"
