2017 fashionable hat's and how to wear them.

Hat's that are in fashion: winter;

The beanie or slouch hat, knit or otherwise.

These hats are fashionable especially in artistic or hipster circles for both men and women.

These hats are warm and awesome, for either short or long hair. They do look best though, when the person wearing them has a little bit of bangs that will frame the face and peek out under the hat.

The trapper hat, is not one of my favourite hats, to say the very least, but is is very apt at keeping your head and ears warm on harsh winter days.

It can even be cute sometimes, but that is limited to the head shape of the person wearing it, and the size of the hat to their head.

Rounder small faces look good with snugly fitting trapper hats fastened tightly under their chin. Square and or large heads don't usually look good in trapper hats regardless of how you're wearing them. Long angular faces usually look pretty good when framed by over-sized trapper hats that hang loosely down the sides of the face.

All in all, I'd say if you don't know weather or not it looks good on you, put it on your head and take a very critical look in the mirror. If you still don't know, ask a close friend or two. Ask people who won't be afraid to tell you when your mascara is running.

summer; Baseball caps are always popular, they are easy to make and easy to find on your favourite colour or with a fresh phrase on the front that says something about who you are.

I choose to show my individuality by avoiding the baseball hat "gravy train" for the most part. Alas they are hard to go wrong with, since it is generally accepted that they fit every size and shape of head out there. so much for individuality.

neutral; Fedoras offer a elegant and fun touch of detail to clothing collages, weather they are tweed or pressed felt, bright colours or black, they tend to compliment anybody's personal taste.

Cowboy hats are more of a country accessory, but they are also often worn by people who wish to communicate an inner child or sense of adventure.

Panama hats are much like both fedora's and cowboy hats, but rather a mixture of both of them. Most often they look best when they are black, or a simple dark colour, worn with a simple outfit and a lot of jewelry.

As I am going through facts and statistics in my head I noticed one very interesting thing. All of the hats that are popular, are completely gender neutral. Sure some might be pink, or say manly things about football, but the type of hats they are is completely interchangeable in society between male and female. I don't know how you want to use that bit of trivia, but I'll just plant it, and hopefully it'll come out useful.

For those of you who want to be setting the fashions, instead of following them, here are a few hats you might want to try out that are really fantastic fashion items.

Hat's that should be in fashion:

winter; The newsboy cap, it's cute and slightly intellectual looking. It reminds us of classic literature and the difference between classes in the late 1800's finally being lined up and meshed together into our modern times.

A Barrett, or boina, shows class and independence in fashion.

Here's one that slides under the radar. I would suggest this one for men, but if you girls are looking for something particularly daring, the tricorn hat is surely that.

summer; A cocktail hat, ladies, for formal occasions.

A pillbox hat, for everyday life if you like to be well dressed.

neutral; A schoolboy hat, looks good on everyone, and is a nice replacement for a baseball cap and the shape is more unique.

The pork pie cap is also a great accessory, and would work well, if given the chance, with quite a few of men's fashion collages.

Top hat's are like the Victorian era's very own timeless accomplishment. They look great on men and women, and add a touch of whimsical fantasy to any occasion.
