Casual tips #1 pants; skinny jeans.
Our state of mind tells us that certain body types go with certain styles of pants. This is only true to the smallest degree. When people are choosing their clothes, it is based more upon what type of person they want to portray. Someone from Kansas would more likely choose to wear a plaid button up shirt than a v-neck short sleeved street shirt. Just as a woman might choose long boot cut jeans instead of a skirt or leggings. This is often played off when confronted by saying that they "just don't look good in it" while this could be true, it is usually only believed to be so by the speaker.
My point? If there is a style of pants you like, say skinny jeans, chances are you can rock them. Here are some tips that could help.
1. Skinny jeans are not supposed to be skin tight. Wear them loose enough to have free movement.
2. If you have big hips, and are self conscious about it, wear a tunic top. It will cover your largest area and reveal your legs giving the illusion that your hips are just as small.
3. Skinny jeans should always be tight around the ankles. Wherever else you want them to be tighter or looser is personal preference. If the ankles aren't snug, they might just as well be straight legs.
4. Darker colours are best. They contrast everything around them and emphasize your shape.
5. If you feel like you hips are too narrow or your calves aren't shaped enough, that is silly, but wearing extra accents and fashion findings like zippers or patches could help. Especially if they are strategically placed around problem areas.
That's all folks. Please do wear skinny jeans. Especially you guys, they are a special match to your natural figures.
