The Colours of Winter
I had intended that this week I would be writing a post about my recent closet remodeling project. Alas it is not near finished enough to write about how I did it and all that stuff. Instead I'll be writing a post on the slightly overdue topic, of winter themed colour schemes. Last Fall, I told you that I was planning to write a post on the best colours to wear in fall, and follow it up in all the seasons, but I had to much else to write about and never got around to it.
I'm going to start the cycle off with the new year.
What I'm going to write are not all set rules or serious standards, they are guide lines. I'm just helping to set them in your minds so that you can see for yourself which things are appropriate for get-together's or out days in our brisk season. Let's get started shall we.
Deep colours like reds and blues are best, black is a must. Browns are also good when matched with other colours, but look a little bland by themselves up against the snow.
Full length dresses are not the only option, but they are great in winter for formal parties. Colour-wise you want you entire outfit to blend together, even though it's not a full length dress it can be the same colour, or colours all the way down.
The best colour combination for winter fashions, is something I like to call frosted colours.
Frosted colours would include dark deep colours that are blended out into pastel versions of themselves, thus creating an icy look that is yet vibrant against the setting.
Well I hope this inspires you to create some awesome fashion collages, or wear the best dresses there are this winter. The dresses that are available to buy, I have put the link to finding them underneath.
